We trust that the medicine we take will help and not hurt us. We believe that when we purchase food in a supermarket, that it will be wholesome and healthy. Unfortunately, that has not recently been the case.
A national pharmacy that delivered a steroid recalled the drug after it had been linked to cases in several states of fungal meningitis. A major food purveyor had to recall ricotta cheese due to its direct link to listeria which can unfortunately, lead to AlDS. Thirty five (35) people in nineteen (19) states, most of them children contracted salmonella due to eating bad peanut butter which the Food and Drug Administration forced its manufacturer to recall and the list unfortunately, can go on and on.
What can we as consumers do? Well, of course we must be aware of the expiration dates on the food that we cat. Unfortunately, that may not be enough and bad food or bad drugs may be ingested even if they have not expired. Food may be easier to detect than medicine and if it tastes or looks different than it should, don't eat it!
But what if you do get sick from the food you cat or the drugs that had been prescribed to you? If you are the victim of bad drugs or bad food, we will be honored to discuss your case with you. There will be no cost to you and we would welcome the opportunity to help you and to hopefully help others who may have also been victimized. You should not have to bear the burden of medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering because you took tainted drugs or ate unwholesome food. It wasn't your fault. Remember, if you're hurt, we' re here!
