Why Use a Lawyer?

Why Use a Lawyer?

If you are injured in an automobile or motorcycle crash and it's not your fault or on the job or if you file a claim for Social Security Benefits, you do not have to use a lawyer, but you should. You should use the services of a lawyer because your rights and claim is too important

and you don 't have to go it alone. The insurance companies of this country and in fact, the Social Security Administration's own statistics show that claimant's that who use a lawyer are far more successful in winning their claims and their cases than those who don't.

The way the law is set up, the injured person who is filing a complaint against the driver who caused the injury or needs help with Workers' Compensation or Social Security Benefits has the burden of proof. That means that providing the evidence and proving the case falls on and is the responsibility of the injured person and that burden comes at a time when people are hurt or sick and are very vulnerable. It's at that time when you need the skill and training of a lawyer who has experience, and a proven track record. You want to make sure that your lawyer has done this before, and your job is to cooperate with your lawyer and let he or she do the "heavy lifting." An attorney who is familiar with the law can make all the difference in the world as to whether you are successful in your law suit. As far as the Social Security System goes, the United States Supreme Court now makes it a requirement that Social Security Judges tell  unrepresented claimants that they have a better chance of winning their claim with the aid of an attorney! This certainly holds true for injured people who are trying to deal with an insurance company whose goal is not to payor to pay less than the claim is worth. There are things to remember about filing a law suit:

1. File right away.

2. Go to the doctor and gel examined and follow the doctor's orders-your job is to get well.

3. Provide your law firm and your lawyer with all of the information as soon as you are able to.

4. Pick a law firm and lawyers who arc experienced and have a proven track record of success in Court.
